Our Mission

Our purpose as a church is to love God and love People.

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself’

Matthew 22:37

What We Believe

We believe that God has not left us without guidance in this world. At St. Martin’s we meet together, expectant that God speaks as the Bible is read and preached. In it we find wisdom and comfort for life as well as a challenge to be the people God wants us to be.

We all need to be cared for and to care for others. Church is a place to work out these needs. We seek to care for each other across all barriers like age, race and cultural backgrounds. We also try to make a difference in the community around us. Like all relationships, Church is not always easy- but it is worth it!

As an Anglican church we belong to an historical tradition which, at its best, seeks to base its belief and life on God’s word, the Bible. We do this with an awareness of the theological legacy contained in the Book of Common Prayer and the 39 Articles
